As many of you have already noticed, PBwiki recently added support for OpenID. What does this mean for you? It means that you no longer need to remember yet another password to log into your PBwiki account.
To use OpenID with PBwiki, you’ll need to do the following:
- Get an OpenID.
You may already have an OpenID! For example, you can use your Yahoo! acccount as an OpenID. Here is a list of OpenID providers. myOpenID is a great place to make an OpenID if you don’t already have one.
- Log in to your PBwiki account using your password.
- Click on your Profile tab:

- Scroll down to the bottom of the Profile page.
- Enter your OpenID into the the field labeled “Your OpenID”, then click on “Save”

- Click on the OpenID logo
on the login page. Or visit my.pbwiki.com/openid to log in to PBwiki with your OpenID. Yay!
If you want to learn more about OpenID, openid.net/what is a great place to start.

I’d love to see OpenID support on your blog, too.
But, in all seriousness, this is great that a wiki farm has jumped on board with OpenID support. It’s one step toward “logging into the Internet.” Hopefully a lot of wikis will support it in the future so your contributions can count toward your reputation across all wiki sites — or other cool things people haven’t thought of yet.
Thanks for being one of the first to take the plunge.
Looks like it’s time to update the shitlist!
Yay!
Since I introduce internet i always use my yahoo account, thanks for your info about pbwiki and openID because I still learn
