That is my single biggest dissatisfaction with PBWiki---that the myriad keyboard shortcuts I use when I'm working alone in Word don't work in the wiki. It takes me 2-3 times as long to do something because, for example, I have to type out "information," rather than simply type "info" and let the editor do the rest... When the point-and-click editor first came out, I was impressed by how pretty it was, but I soon went back to the classic editor because it gave me more control over what was going on. I am looking forward to trying the new one and am hoping it combines a good graphic interface with good control of the page look and content. Glad to hear about the new editor. Although it is on 'off-campus' solution, the flexibility and group control features look very promising. However, when compared with another 'leading' wiki provider, the students said they would choose the alternative because it looked easier to make it visually engaging. I advised further study on Pbwiki before making such a decision so we shall see what they choose in a few weeks.
